While big budget films like Don, Okka Mogadu and Krishnarjuna sank without a trace at the BO, it has been offbeat films like the Bhumika starrer Anasuya and Charmi starrer Mantra that emerged winners. That's not all, in the recent past, we have had instances where the female leads have taken home a bigger pay cheque than their male counterparts. Ileana, for instance, is believed to have charged 1 crore for her latest venture, which was clearly well over her co-star Tarun's market value. The same is the case with Tabu who was paid much more than her co-star Abbas for their upcoming film Idhi Sangathi. Perhaps Tollywood is finally coming of age.
